Crooks

DC Distributors Inc are crooks. All I can say is ‘karma’. What goes around, comes around. Totally legally cancelled order and the credit company still took my money. So now my law suit goes from consumer to criminal. Thank you.

I notice that Kirby Corporate offices are no longer responding to complaints here. I guess they can't keep up with the sheer volume of complaints they must receive on a daily basis.

There has been enough of this. I figure those folks at DC Distributors inc, can sleep fine at night knowing they rip people off on a daily basis.

But I’m sure it will come back to haunt them.

Vacuum

i'll never buy one of these again. they're overpriced. cant get the vacuum to work right and I cant get it to transition from vacuum to carpet cleaner. I still owe on this thing and the company doesn't care. This vacuum is junk! It sits in my coset and I cannot use it. what a complete waste of money. I told them finance company to take it back because I cant use it. They don't care. They only care about their money. I think there should be a law for products this like this. Im done with it. Im trashing this stupid machine and buying a dyson.

Unfortunately many places are open on MLK day. My work is one such place. If a business has their operating hours posted and it doesn’t include a specific holiday then it’s a business day.

They probably will deny all record of the conversation, if you did not send in a written cancellation via a trackable method. The last thing a Kirby sales person wants is to have to pick up a newly sold machine.

Everyone in the loops works on commission and they don't get a paycheck if you don't buy or you cancel.

You can try calling Kirby Corporate for assistance, as it seems they have completely stopped responding to complaints at this website. I guess the volume of complaints has just gotten out of control and they cannot keep up.

If she's 67 or older, she has 9 months to return it and/or if she has a disability. You are going to have to remain steadfast and let these people know you aren't going away, because they are hoping you don't know about Kirby's Golden Ager's return policy. Take them to small claims if necessary but make sure they take it back and refund your money.

A salesman of yours by the name of Joshua Bogdan hasn't refunded me my deposit after I cancelled the contract within 3 business days..he informed me as well the contract I signed that says my deposit will be returned within 10 days its been 4 weeks

11 yrs, 3 kids, 10+ animals, still going STRONG

When we bought it, we knew we overpaid. ($1200) However, we had three teens, 6 cats & a dog & a new house with *** beige carpets. We figured the kids couldn’t break it and that if we had to move again ( active duty military) neither could the movers. We were correct. We have been through countless belts. Both in the regular head and in the carpet cleaner one. Probably thousands of bags— which have been harder to find and have gotten more expensive, of course. However— it is by far the BEST and most dependable vacuum we have ever had. We have had Dysons— they are never as powerful and they inevitably break somewhere— usually dealing with the canister— as my daughter bought me one thinking it might be ‘easier’ and lighter for me. Lighter— yes. As effective— no. Before it, we had Hoover & dirt devils— none lasted. This Kirby — for all it’s bulk— has been worth every penny of that $1200. We’ve replaced most of our carpet with hardwood now so it’s only used in the bedrooms. I don’t think we will ever need another. Thanks Kirby.

I bought a dirt devil and it has been a very good vacuum. It picks up more dirt than the clunky Kirby.

yesterday Kirby people came by and did a demonsrtation. I am disabled and could not afford. I started filling out paperwork as they kept trying to sell me the unit. Now I am worried because they have my social security number and drivers licsence number. I tried calling the phone number they gave me. No answer. They came from Indianapolis . I live in Bloomington. Tiffany Walker did the paperwork. They were both very nice and friendly . Jake did the long demonstration. I liked it . But I had brain Surgery and felt overwhelmed. I started to cry. They then offered me a different payment plan. I woke up this morning worried because they have ALL my personal info. Should I be concerned? Tiffany number is 317-550-****. How do I contact the company who sold me this?

I have paralgesia from the chest down and have just learned to walk in the last year. The night they stopped by I was feeling good. Living alone I should not have let them in but was expecting a new bed and they said they would clean the rug. The product is too heavy for me. Been trying to contact since Aug. 16th. to no avail. My family found out what I did and are having a meeting about controlling my income. I have trouble using my hands also so it is impossible for me to use. The contact # is unavailable all the time and no answer at consumer phone #.

If you have a disability that prevents you from using the machine, they have to give you your money back. If you are 67 or older and it's been under 9 months since you bought the vacuum, they have to give you your money back. C'mon Kirby Cutomer Service, you answer all the complaints on this site, why haven't you answered this customer?!!!

Thank you. I am 67 and have been disabled since 2001.

My 1st payment is scheduled for Nov. that is why I want them to come get the vacuum! I explained that I was on disability and could not afford it until then. I did have my caregiver use it once and I tried one time and I had to see the doctor because I pulled my shoulder.

I have to pay the caregiver and the last time she brang her own because she could not maneuver it. I was able to use my old vacuum because it only weighed a few pounds and it worked great. At least I could do a room a day as my home is small. I do not care if the new old one they took is returned because my sister said if I get this resolved I can have her Shark which is like I had because she is getting the little larger one.

My doctor was quite upset with me and of course my family as my sister is on my checking account and seen the check that I paid for half the taxes.

My total bill is $2643.44 to of course make payments of $65.29 a month which is a little high for something I can not use. Thank you again!

Not happy!

Kirby - Not happy!
I have emailed and contacted customer service quite a few times about my vacuum. It's not picking up like it's supposed to and it smells burnt when I use it. Somebody was supposed to come out and look at it but I never heard back from them. At this point I would never refer anybody to Kirby.

Maintenance, bare basic info needed - including contact info

Have I tried to contact them? I don't know where to begin. A rep came by about two years ago and sold us a vacuum cleaner. He gave a demonstration, and since I am not mechanically inclined I found it hard to follow. But I learned how to use it. Then, a week ago, a rep from a home security system we had just bought came by, and without my bringing it up, he asked if we had a Kirby. When he found out we did, he too did a demonstration, adding that it was "easy". (It isn't.) Long story short, the bag needs to be replaced. We were not given bags on sale. I have no idea who to contact about it without being overcharged by someone claiming to be part of Kirby. I was told Amazon delivers those. As for the manual, it's in the house somewhere, but I've looked and can't find it. Is it too much to ask for a replacement, and if so from whom? I also don't have the initial rep's number. The second security system/Kirby rep gave me a number to call, but all I got was a runaround again. Can somebody please cut the guff and the passing of the buck and put me in touch with someone who can deliver a replacement bag and manual?
