My personal information

yesterday Kirby people came by and did a demonsrtation. I am disabled and could not afford. I started filling out paperwork as they kept trying to sell me the unit. Now I am worried because they have my social security number and drivers licsence number. I tried calling the phone number they gave me. No answer. They came from Indianapolis . I live in Bloomington. Tiffany Walker did the paperwork. They were both very nice and friendly . Jake did the long demonstration. I liked it . But I had brain Surgery and felt overwhelmed. I started to cry. They then offered me a different payment plan. I woke up this morning worried because they have ALL my personal info. Should I be concerned? Tiffany number is 317-550-****. How do I contact the company who sold me this?

I have paralgesia from the chest down and have just learned to walk in the last year. The night they stopped by I was feeling good. Living alone I should not have let them in but was expecting a new bed and they said they would clean the rug. The product is too heavy for me. Been trying to contact since Aug. 16th. to no avail. My family found out what I did and are having a meeting about controlling my income. I have trouble using my hands also so it is impossible for me to use. The contact # is unavailable all the time and no answer at consumer phone #.

If you have a disability that prevents you from using the machine, they have to give you your money back. If you are 67 or older and it's been under 9 months since you bought the vacuum, they have to give you your money back. C'mon Kirby Cutomer Service, you answer all the complaints on this site, why haven't you answered this customer?!!!

Thank you. I am 67 and have been disabled since 2001.

My 1st payment is scheduled for Nov. that is why I want them to come get the vacuum! I explained that I was on disability and could not afford it until then. I did have my caregiver use it once and I tried one time and I had to see the doctor because I pulled my shoulder.

I have to pay the caregiver and the last time she brang her own because she could not maneuver it. I was able to use my old vacuum because it only weighed a few pounds and it worked great. At least I could do a room a day as my home is small. I do not care if the new old one they took is returned because my sister said if I get this resolved I can have her Shark which is like I had because she is getting the little larger one.

My doctor was quite upset with me and of course my family as my sister is on my checking account and seen the check that I paid for half the taxes.

My total bill is $2643.44 to of course make payments of $65.29 a month which is a little high for something I can not use. Thank you again!

Not happy!

Kirby - Not happy!
I have emailed and contacted customer service quite a few times about my vacuum. It's not picking up like it's supposed to and it smells burnt when I use it. Somebody was supposed to come out and look at it but I never heard back from them. At this point I would never refer anybody to Kirby.

Maintenance, bare basic info needed - including contact info

Have I tried to contact them? I don't know where to begin. A rep came by about two years ago and sold us a vacuum cleaner. He gave a demonstration, and since I am not mechanically inclined I found it hard to follow. But I learned how to use it. Then, a week ago, a rep from a home security system we had just bought came by, and without my bringing it up, he asked if we had a Kirby. When he found out we did, he too did a demonstration, adding that it was "easy". (It isn't.) Long story short, the bag needs to be replaced. We were not given bags on sale. I have no idea who to contact about it without being overcharged by someone claiming to be part of Kirby. I was told Amazon delivers those. As for the manual, it's in the house somewhere, but I've looked and can't find it. Is it too much to ask for a replacement, and if so from whom? I also don't have the initial rep's number. The second security system/Kirby rep gave me a number to call, but all I got was a runaround again. Can somebody please cut the guff and the passing of the buck and put me in touch with someone who can deliver a replacement bag and manual? Vacuum

Hi. My husband was able to put the vacuum into proper and was working now but the thing is he did for few hrs to figure it out. Even there was a video. It wasted so much time. The carpet shampoo was not even use. Coz of changing parts. So sad on it.

Threatened By Kirby Manager

December 21st I decided to get a Kirby. The Kirby they (salesman & manager) brought only had one bag, and one bottle of shampoo. The small handle to use for cleaning mattresses etc. was broke. I was told that they would bring the other parts the next day, and show me how to use the machine and accessories. I was told that I had three days to return the product. On the 23rd I tried to call and do that but every number I was given went to a full voicemail box, and I was unable to leave a message. During the week following Christmas the salesman showed up. He did not have any of the things, he just wanted to see how I liked my Kirby. I told him I had not recieved the parts. Could not use the Kirby and wanted my vacuum back. He said he would be back tomorrow with the parts show me how to use it and if i still wanted my vacuum back he would make it happen. He was a no show again. I put the Kirby un the closet and forgot about it. In April I got a bill from PCI. I did not recognize the name so I called them. They would not tell me what the bill was for. PCI showed on my credit report as an account in good standing paid on time from Dec -Jun. After a few calls from them I told them to stop calling me. I figured someone else bought something and was making payments on it but they had my info by mistake. I found out PCI was your company when the manager showed up two weeks ago. The manager with another man showed up. The manager was demanding the Kirby puffing out his chest yelling and threatening me. My child was scared and thought he was going to hit me. He told me he was making my payments and it was coming out of his pocket because I was not making them. $500 a month he was being charged. I told him bring me back my vacuum and I would trade him. He said he would bring it tomorrow. I laughed he already told me that twice. So I said tomorrow he could get the Kirby then. Again he started yelling. I went inside and him and the guy with him left. About a hour later they were back with some cheap vacuum they got at walmart. The one who said he was the manager and did the yelling stayed in the car. The other man told me the salesman I had in Dec was fired for making those promises to others and not following up. He listened as I told him about calling PCI. He said he did not blame me for not paying if they did not tell me what the bill was for. I gave him the Kirby but had to report the manager.

BIG POS

I bought a Kirby Sentria several years ago, on a bipolar impulse. My husband should have beat me!! This Kirby thing is one big, bulky, heavy, cumbersome POS. It doesn't vacuum as well as my Dyson did and it's 100 X harder to hook hoses etc. too for upholstery cleaning, hard wood cleaning and especially shampooing. The spray paint attachment worked great...for 15 minutes, until it burst apart and covered my husband in paint. I am in the process, right now, of trying to get rid of this hulking monster. We now have NO carpet in our house partly do to this hideous thing! I'm so glad I kept my hard flooring cleaner, mini carpet cleaner and other little gadgets this THING was supposed to replace. It is so much easier to grab one of those from the closet than fight with the attachments that supposedly to go on so easily, yeah, right! Do yourself a favor and research what will best fit your needs then buy a Dyson.

NOT Good!!!! Dealer did not return my calls

THE Kirby I purchased fail. the bolt broke and I called the dealer for a replacement. Called several times on the second day that's when it broke! NO REPLY!!! Called back the next day still no reply. What's Up with that your company is MUD for not having better customer service and so are your dealers! I DON'T want a replacement I want out of this contract. No one should be treated like was with care like I'm not important the company seems to be all about sells and nothing else!!!!! I will not be one of your fans!!!!! after that the Kirby would not even vacuum the carpet I was shampooing the carpet when the bolt broke. I don't want to pay for that OVER PRICED vacuum that's not even working but I hope others won't have to go through what I did!!!! Shame on you for not caring about your customers more. I won't be singing your praises to anyone! I was a sell and nothing more the dollar rules forget good customers service I guess that's asking for far too much!!!! REGINA D. Springfield TN
